MURMUR
GRENSGEVAL · Belgium
Murmur is an acrobatic sound theatre performance that engages the senses and sparks the imagination. Combining movement, sound, and technology, it invites the audience into a playful and immersive sonic world.
At the centre of the performance, an acrobat composes a living landscape of sounds: a purring cat emerges from a pocket, bees buzz through the air, and everyday gestures transform into unexpected audio experiences. Gradually, the space fills with layers of sound, drawing the audience into a shared environment where bodies, objects, and technology intertwine.
Surrounded by the audience, the performer jumps, falls, rolls, and flies in an attempt to compose the world - until suddenly, the audience themselves become part of the composition. Their backpacks begin to vibrate, and the entire space transforms into a dynamic loudspeaker landscape.
Murmur is a poetic and playful exploration of perception, inviting us to imagine what it might feel like to be more than human.
